How to Get Access to Marriage Records in Pottawatomie County Oklahoma

Ok, so you found your marriage records in Pike County Oklahoma. You now have to fill out some forms and wait for your record to be mailed to you. Are you having a problem, or do you know how easy it is? I was in your shoes just a few years ago. I went to every county in the state to conduct a search of my own marriage records. It was a grueling process, and I ended up taking several weeks before I got what I needed.

Then I began looking online. I was tired of driving around endless miles in search of information. I was ready to fill out a formal request for records and get on with my life. I had some luck at first, but then I ran into several problems. I couldn’t find the records I was looking for, and some of them were incomplete. It was a frustrating experience for sure, but I eventually came across a real website that was reliable and worth the time and effort to search.

It started like most other sites online. I went to the front page and started to type in my own information. My first name, last name, state, county/city was typed in automatically. I hit the submit button and waited for my information to be published.

That’s when I waited. I called the number and the guy on the phone told me to expect a cheque in the mail. That was when I decided to tell him I already searched and the records were available. He laughed and said “Oh, that’s great…I will have to take care of that, huh?” I let that pass because I wanted to check whether the information would be available to me.

Well, almost immediately, he sent me the check in the mail. The moment I saw the check in the mail, I was disappointed. They had updated the information on my file within minutes. So now I knew but didn’t have the money to do anything about it.

However, the next day I found out that there was another website that not only had the free records but also had the records for a small fee. So now I’m able to obtain access to some of the old information as well. All because I took the time to research and look for my own personal records. And I am very happy that I did, because now I know where to find the marriage records for everyone I want to research on.
