How Do You Search For Warrant Records?
Warrant Records are a public record that most of us have no knowledge about. They can tell you a lot about people, if you know what you’re looking for. In Green County, Wisconsin there is a process to get these records and they are easy to obtain. Here’s how…
First of all, you need to understand what public records are. Public records are pieces of information that the government stores about you and/or someone else. Some examples of public records are birth records, death records, marriage records, divorce records, and court records. They are considered public because they are filed by the government agencies in the state where you live.
So now that we got that out of the way; how do you perform warrant searches? The best way to find public records is through the courthouses. You can search for warrants at the courthouse by going down to their website and searching for “warrants”. If you want a specific document, you may need to enter the name of the person whose warrant you’re trying to find. Some documents include names, addresses, and phone numbers, which you can also access. If there are any warrants out for your person, they will be on public records.
Now that you have access to public records through the courthouses, you need to know where to look up these records. One option is to go online and do an internet search. Many sites will let you do an online warrant search; some do not. If you want to save time and money, you should go with a site that lets you do both, an online search and a local search.
I personally like to use a site that lets me do both. By doing a search using that method, I’m able to see all of the warrant records related to my name. By doing a public records search by going down to the courthouse, I know exactly who my warrant is for and what the charges are. The only drawback to this method is that the results you get are only available for county or state warrants.
Now that you know how to do warrant searches online and know where to look up these public records, you are ready to start searching. If you go to Google and do an online search, you will get many hits to do warrant searches. There are many places you can do this but you want to make sure you’re getting reliable information. My last suggestion is to try one of the sites listed above. It’s free and it’s worth a try!
