How Do I Look Up Warrant Records?

Warrant Records in Grant County, Wisconsin are maintained by the Criminal Justice Division of the State of Wisconsin. It is basically a record that shows a person has been arrested for, charged with, or convicted of a crime. They do have all the right to execute a warrant if they so choose but that is not why the public is allowed access to them. If you go to court and request one of these warrants be served personally you will have to fill out an application stating why you want one. You must have reasonable cause to obtain the warrant. This is where a private investigator can come in handy.

When you apply for a warrant you state your name, address, and your reason for needing one. There is usually no reason why someone should be arrested for a crime unless there is a reason to do it. In other words if you are at the house of someone breaking into your home and they happen to find a warrant for that persons arrest then they will most likely have to knock on your door and take you away because you are under arrest for that crime. The only time warrants are issued is when a person is being held in jail under the Mental Health act or under the laws against felons.

The reason that we even need these records is so that if the person you are investigating happens to have a criminal background then you can at least find out who they are. This is very important to some people as they do not want their neighbors knowing that they are a criminal. You can even look up a person using their name to do a background check.

Searching criminal records is a lot like searching for information about anyone else. You have to know their first and last names, any aliases that they use, and their Social Security number. All the phone numbers associated with their name and any place that they have lived will also come up. You will also be able to learn their date of birth, current address, and any place that they have worked. A lot of this information can be found online for free but it will not be in the public record.

You can also search for criminal records and arrest warrants online. Some websites allow you to do a warrant search right on their website. This is much easier than having to leave your home and go down to the court house to look up a warrant. There are several companies online that can do all of the work for you and find the criminal records you need.

If you are hiring someone then it is critical that you know who they are. It could save you a lot of hassle and heartache in the future. It will also prevent you from hiring someone who has a history of stealing. You can never be too careful. Make sure you do not take any chances. If something does happen and it is you who did it then you have proof.
